Monica Lawty, a long-time Dallasite, is an Arts Magnet High School and University of North Texas School of Music graduate. She is a certified Music Educator with rich experiences teaching private Voice and Piano. She has taught all ages: adults, junior and high school as well as elementary choral/ general Music and pre-school. She has conducted a creative Show Choir, prepared students for recitals, given formal adult, vocal professional critiques, taught Voice in a Summer camp, and even a pre-school Kinder music class.

Monica is a terrific vocalist/singer/songwriter foremost. She produced a successful demo of original songs, boosting her into Texas’ Premier New Music Festivals, San Diego café performances and the San Diego Women’s Festival. She can help student’s creativity blossom with songwriting techniques.

During her UNT days, she fronted a jazz/pop ensemble that performed at many local venues in Dallas and Denton and was reviewed as “most requested local artist” on 88.1 KNTU FM. Recently, she enjoyed a role in “The Mikado” with the Garland Civic Theater to continue her musical journey!
