About me
An accomplished Musical Director, composer, arranger, performer (keyboards, guitars), and vocalist with over 30 years of experience in the music business. The consummate professional, with hundreds of performances under my belt, I look forward to new challenges and opportunities to utilize my exceptional music skills to enhance the work of others. Highly skilled in working with children's musical theater productions, as well as studio work (exceptional site reading skills.)
Employment History / Credits
I began my music career at the age of 13, performing with my band, "The Music Trio," at a fund-raiser for Deborah Hospital. After spending many years working as the concert and rehearsal pianist with The Jeff Samaha Singers and the Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island Wedding & Bar Mitzvah with Bob Chevy, Herb Sherry, Charisma, The Noblemen, and many other houses, I helped to re-form Rainbow's End, a popular New York club and private affair band. My music career includes working many hotels on the "Borscht Belt" (the Catskills), concerts and shows at the Central Park Band Shell and at New York's The Palladium (backing Crystal Waters), Lincoln Center, The Powerhouse Theater and The Palace Theater in Connecticut, and many other local venues.
In 1989, I helped score the music for a potential off-Broadway show called "Mulberry Street," and that same year became the Music Director for Melody (Meitrott) Libonati, a Broadway musical theater star and soap actress. In 2003, I completed music directing Peter Pan, my twelfth production at the King and Low-Heyward Thomas School in Stamford, CT.
I have also worked wth The Not Ready For Broadway Players (North Brunswick, NJ) as their Musical Director for a several years, directing a number of their children's musical theater productions.
In 2001, I helped form The Sons of Tikvah Band, a Jewish music dance and concert band, as well as founding Congregation B'nai Tikvah of North Bruncwisk's first kids and teens choir (Kol Tikvah). In 2003 I accepted the position as Music Director with their adult choir, Makelah.
In 2004, I worked as Musical Director for the St. Joseph's High School (Metuchen, NJ) production of Oklahoma!, which has been recognized by Paper Mill Playhouse for a number of awards.
