About me
I have been DJ’ing for over eleven years in London and Los Angeles. In LA, between 2000-2003, I hosted a live, two hour show on FM radio/internet. The show 'Beatbox' had, by it’s 2nd year, the largest number of ‘hits’ at the station. The music (DHL’d, weekly from Vinyl Addiction in Camden) was primarily breakbeat, but occasionally included good, noncommercial (non-cheesy), house. I also wrote breakbeat reviews for BPM magazine, a west coast version of DJ magazine.
The music that got me into dj’ing and that still remains my passion, is breakbeat; from old skool and party breaks to the Lee Combes style of break-house, through to heavier nu skool; but by including more house music in my sets, work offers were greatly increased. On my return to the UK (and through to mid 2006) the style of music I played was a house fusion - funky, soulful, sometimes progressive and often deep; however, since the summer of 2006 I have been playing electro house/tech house/techno/minimal.
After returning to London (2004) I played out at a number of different venues in and around London, including @ Pacha, Pop, Thirst, The Great Eastern, Café de Paris, Woodys, The Egg, Rouge, The Tea Bar and The Cobden Club. After completing 3 successful years of live, weekly radio shows on Shine FM (87.9) & Icecold (103 fm or www.icecoldfm.co.uk), I have returned to Los Angeles (Jan 1st 2008) where I am now based (tel: 1-323 877 7175).
I have also begun to teach DJ'ing one-on-one to a number of different students.
