I have recently graduated from Philadelphia’s Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science, and with a concentration in Music Industry. I am motivated and eager to find my place in the entertainment industry work force. My drive for this industry began in high school when I took my love for music and created my own and very small company that put together local shows for local kids, Entry Productions. Most show attendees and talent were able to drive themselves to and from the VFW halls, where we hosted local bands on a Friday or Saturday night in North Jersey. They all had a wonderful time and left after the show. I would have to wait for my mother or father to pick me up, as I was without a license at the time we began. I was 16 when I realized I could and would have a career in music and entertainment without being incredibly talented as a musician. I wasn’t sure how but I knew I would find my own way into the industry.

During the past four years I attended Drexel University studying Music Industry. I had a series of internships that covered different areas of the Music Industry. I worked for a major record label learning the marketing side from the label’s point of view as well as interning at a small management company learning the importance of marketing and artist development from the artist and management point of view. In addition, I’ve interned for music venue, B.B. King Blues Club, learning the booking side from a NYC venue hosting a major nightly crowd. I then compared my experience when working as the Marketing Coordinator for much smaller venue, The Fire, located in Philadelphia. There, I was able to get to know the regulars that attended nightly and understand the intimate atmosphere of a 100+ room with thriving musicians and how much hard work was required. During my senior year at Drexel I also worked with our school’s record label, MAD Dragon Records to gain more direct label experience. I am currently interning with the FATA Booking Agency in Philadelphia learning another side of booking, the agent side.

With all of my different internships combined, I consider myself to have tackled the many different tasks that were thrown my way. I want to hold responsibility and I want to hold a position that matters. I have had great experience multi-tasking, along with administrative duties and have received respectable and excellent feedback from previous employers. I also have occasionally worked with different Adobe programs including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, for which I took a course in last semester.
