We are seeking a Music Director.
This part-time position is an important position in the parish. Music is as important as the sermon in touching people's hearts with the Gospel message of the day. So the music director must work with the pastor in planning and leading the people in a joyful time of worship to the glory of God.
Qualifications:
-A Christian with a heart for ministry and service
-A capable keyboardist and vocalist
-Familiarity with a wide variety of musical styles, ie: Gospel, contemporary, jazz, etc.
-Be able to inspire others in music and lead groups
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Participate in planning the worship services
-Lead the praise band
-Practice the music ahead of time
-Lead the music of the worship services
-Begin and lead a youth gospel choir
-Recruit musicians and singers
-Option--Direct music
Position is available now.
During the summer the service is on alternate Sundays at 9 AM. During the school year the service is every Sunday at 11:00 AM.
