Hey, I feel the same way...my biggest thing is finding someone that plays an instrument so I can write while they're playing. Now I'm writing to tracks but I think it may be better the other way around.

Hello...I too am an up in coming songwriter and I found that what helped me was that when I started writing, I found some friends and taught them my material a capella and recorded it (in studio or on cassette recorder/karaoke machine). Then once I hadthe vocals polished and ready I found a musician to put music to it and once I had my finished product I was then able to forward my material to local and national artists! I would urge you to do your research on the artists you are or want to write for and ship your music to the address on their websites/cd covers! Also as far as copyrights, u can do one of two things or both...lol! I mailed my finished product to myself as a quick copyright (DON'T OPEN THE ENVELOPE!). Option 2 is www.copyright.gov and pull the forms and follow all instructions! I hope this helps...God Bless...Daunivan
