About the job
We are seeking a part-time dance instructor. Must be a responsible adult at least 21 years of age. BA degree in Dance, Theatre, Performing Arts or related field preferred. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience teaching various forms of dance to youth. Must be responsible, creative and enjoy working with children of all ages. Must possess outstanding presentation and communication skills. Choreography training is a plus.
The dance instructor is responsible for organizing, developing, supervising and teaching youth dance classes that may include ballet and tap. Duties include preparing a lesson plan and providing all music to be utilized during class. Works cooperatively with all staff, prents and students, responsible for room set-up, clean-up and return of all supplies and/or equipment utilized during dance class.
Hours: Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.. May also be asked to sub for other dance classes.
