Works Registration Analyst I

About the job

Register music works into the our Works Database with ownership and payment information submitted by affiliated writers so that accurate and timely domestic and international royalty distributions can be made.

Make daily decisions that effect data integrity of the our Works Database and payment of royalties by reviewing and registering ownership and payment information submitted on paper work registrations.

Analyze incoming paperwork registrations to determine which works are to be scanned/imaged for transmission to an offsite keypunch facility for processing.

Analyze/research information submitted by writers and publishers by utilizing various systems programs in the Participant and Works databases to determine compliance with our Works Registration policies.

Prepare/scan works for electronic transmission to off-site facility.

Maintain tracking system for works transmitted to off-site keypunching whereby transmission and receipt of completed registrations is monitored for accurate and timely registration in the Works Database.

Manually register works that do not fit the criteria that determine that a work is to be scanned and transmitted to offsite keypunch facility for processing.

Assist with basic clerical duties related to registration processing.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1 – 2 years experience in a professional/office environment preferred.
Aptitude for learning new processes.
General PC knowledge, including Word, Excel and Access.
Proficient computer keyboarding skills.
Demonstrate use of analytical and research skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
