We currently seek: Vice President of Music Services.

Job Summary:
The Vice President of Music Services is responsible for music acquisition, licensing, merchandising and operations across our service to drive user engagement, sales and revenue. Three fully staffed teams (with members in Berlin and Denver) report to the VP of Music Services - Content Operations, Merchandising and Label Management. Managing people, projects and conflicts across the three teams is key to the position. The Vice President of Music Services is a member of the executive management team and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Essential Functions:
• Drive music Operations and strategy across our products and services.
• Manage team responsible for relationships with music labels to enable key content initiatives in our service.
• Manages music merchandising team to maximize customer interactions and revenue.
• Manage content operations team to maximize inventory levels, content quality and throughput.
• Drive user engagement and ARPU through content, merchandising, promotions and label partnerships.
• Manage music data feeds (charts, recommendations, personalization) to ensure highest relevance and effectiveness.
• Work closely with Engineering, Marketing and Product Development agile teams to drive key features and guide in prioritization process.
• Work closely with Finance and VP Artist and Label Relations to prioritize and execute content deals with labels.
• Produce and analyze key trend reports measuring sales, consumption, content accuracy, and content discoverability across all consumer platforms.
• Create and manage team budgets, sales projections and quarterly goals

Minimum Qualifications:
• 10+ years in the Music Business
• 5+ years in Digital Music
• Proficiency in Powerpoint, Outlook, Mac Applications, Excel, Word
• Proven track record of successfully leading multiple teams in the production and operation of a content-rich media/entertainment or retail website.
• Excellent organizational, statistical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, written and oral presentation skills.
• Experience with content operations and applicable technologies.
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making. Ability to make decisions within a fast-paced environment, communicate rationale, and take action.
• Demonstrated success with all aspects of content licensing.
• Superior team development and management skills, experience with budget and timeline development, and experience in the consumer space.
