We have achieved this position through the combined efforts of a talented and customer oriented team employing the latest cutting-edge technology.
We are seeking to add a Systems Administrator to the Portland, OR based Information Technology Team. The successful individual will be responsible for the following key tasks:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's or associate's degree, with possible equivalent experience in lieu thereof
Experience Required:
At least one full year in a full-time system administrator position.
Responsibilities / Tasks:
Provide desktop / printer / end-user support for co-workers through company-standard procedures
Execute periodic tasks necessary for the company's overall technology health, including, but not limited to:
Maintenance of offsite backups
Maintenance of company technology hardware assets (servers, printers, e.g.)
Maintenance of company datacenters (cable runs, documenting networks, analyzing performance trends)
Assist the senior administrator(s) in brainstorming and executing new solutions to projects and business requirements.
Must be able to commit to a reliable schedule, so support is guaranteed during normal business hours.
Special Skills Required:
Some familiarity with Windows Server systems from 2003 onward, including Active Directory, Terminal Server, and MS DNS.
Clear and firm understanding of networking fundamentals, particularly from OSI layer 4 downward. Knowledge of Cisco hardware / IOS is a plus.
Must have excellent communication skills - must be able to draw employees into provided information needed for troubleshooting.
Must have good written communication skills, and be able to write cogent documentation on processes and changes.
Must have a passion for ongoing learning.
