About the job
We are looking for 1-2 additional players to augment the sound and lineup of the band. Violin or cello would work, but horns or other instruments are also possible. From '98-2003 we were a successful Manhattan-basd indie rock band playing at top local clubs, with spins on hundreds of college stations, features in magazines, etc. The band is not a professional venture now but we remain very serious about making good music and working with like-minded artists who are cool and sincere. This is a strong songwriting band with a talented guitar player, bass player and drummer. We need to replace string players who left, and additional backing vocals are also a plus. We will rehearse twice a month in Manhattan and do a local set every month or two just for the sake of music. This is not a paying gig for mercenaries--but for members who want to keep playing. If you are interested in being a part of the band please email us with a picture or two and let us know what instrument you play, whether you can sing, how old you are, influences, etc. Check out some songs at our website. Thanks.
