Obtain financial support, including cash and in-kind sponsorships for the Association annual fund from local regional and national corporations. Participate and contribute to overall strategy regarding corporate sponsorships.
Essential Functions:
Plan and implement the research identification, cultivation, solicitation, renewal and upgrade process for corporate sponsorships. Manage a portfolio of approximately $1,000,000 with an annual goal of approximately $3,000,000 for the Corporate Sponsorship team
Prepare appropriate presentation materials such as research, letters, proposals and detailed workplans for sponsors and/or prospects.
Make sales calls and presentations to corporations, including cold calls.
Negotiate and close sponsorship commitments. Prepare necessary documentation and agreements.
Develop creative, attractive and appropriate sponsorship packages, utilizing marketing, educational, musical, demographic and other resources from within the Association. Packages may include advertisements, collateral materials and a variety of donor recognition pieces.
Ensure that all obligations to sponsors are met by properly tracking and servicing each account.
Participate actively as a team member within Corporate Sponsorship and the Development department.
Pro-actively contribute to the ongoing development of strategy and direction regarding corporate sponsorship.

Requirements:
Five or more years experience with fund raising through corporate sponsorship selling.
Proven sales track record in securing corporate sponsorships for a not-for-profit entity.
Knowledge of advertising, media buying, corporate sponsorships and arts sponsors.
Solid understanding of fund-raising principles and methodologies.
Bachelors degree in Business or related subject.
Background in the performing arts desirable.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience in using Raisers Edge desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal skills.
Available and willing to work nights and weekends as required by the job.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, work with a diverse population, be flexible, goal and results oriented, meet deadlines goals and budget
