Seeking 20's/40's/Americana Violinist

About the job

Please be familiar with 20's/40's genre, singer/ songwriter and americana. We're seeking a quality violinist for big band style. If you sing and play another instrument, including violin, that's a major plus! Female artist, performs with a full 10 piece band which includes strings, horns, mandolin/banjo, piano, guitars, upright bass and drums. Ideally seeking solid players who can read charts, be available to be involved. Currently, she has label interest, a publishing deal and is recording her new album. She has song styles ranging from Regina Spektor, Feist, Lily Allen, Norah Jones and Billie Holiday.

As of right now, if you're looking to make money right away from this, this is not for you. She is an upcoming artist with interest, but doesn't have any money coming in yet. Must be available on March 23rd for a very important industry showcase and it will be filmed with 3 HD cameras. This gig is not paid unfortunately. After this show, she will perform once a month (Hotel Cafe) and there will be money from the door. There's huge potential for touring in the future and we don't know what's going to happen within the next couple months with labels/industry. So, if you're looking to be a part of something and willing to commit, that's what we need.
