Summary of Responsibilities:
This position within the label will physically be located in the Business Affairs department working closely with the department and/or a Business Affairs Assistant. Together the goal is to insure that all portions of all contracts are in CTS in an accurate and timely manner. The primary responsibility of the RLSA will be to insure the royalty portion of the contract is in the CTS in an accurate and timely manner. Regardless of whether the RLSA inputs the contract or not, the final review and approval of the royalty related portion of the contract input is their responsibility. This RLSA must also be able to abstract and input an entire contract into CTS including all the non-royalty related portions such as contributors, rights and obligations, etc. This task will be shared with the Business Affairs department.
Given their royalty responsibilities and expertise, the RLSA will be required to research/respond to royalty inquires related to the CTS information as well as any royalty related inquires which will require review of the physical contract for resolution.

The RLSA will also be responsible for executing the “Link” of repertoire to the appropriate contract in an accurate and timely manner. This task will be done through RMS.

In addition to the above mentioned responsibilities the RLSA will, to the extent possible, play a significant role in any/all of the one-time implementation related projects remaining to be done. Some examples may include: revision of physical contract filing system, conversion of priority 2 and 3 contracts, etc; researching unmatched and unapplied units.

Upon implementation of a label, the RLSA will report to Director, Royalties.
