Quality Assurance Testers

We are a start-up company bringing music and movie entertainment to mobile phones. We are hiring Quality Assurance Testers to assist with testing our music playlists, testing video and audio content, and database management. Our partners with major film studios and music labels to deliver blockbuster films, music videos, and television programming. We have plans to introduce additional mobile entertainment services in the coming months, including customized entertainment channels, premium video programming and mobile-exclusive original programming.

Job Description:
The QA Tester's role is to verify that all applications being developed adhere to our quality standards. This is verified by both exploratory and structured testing to ensure that all our standards, which encompass all carrier (service-provider) standards, are met. Unlike console or other software QA, our production cycles are much shorter, which directly relates to the amount of time that can be spent by a tester on an application.

Responsibilities:
-Manual testing of mobile applications against carrier standards
-Complete QA checklists accurately and in a timely manner
-Utilize techniques from console/PC testing to perform exploratory testing on mobile applications
-Report any bugs in the application(s) being tested.
-Ensure that bug reports are clear and concise, for addition to bug-tracking database
-Following internal checklists
-Track daily progress
-Log all errors in database
-Troubleshooting

Qualifications:
-1+ years Quality Assurance experience
-Experience with Microsoft Office
-Experience with database management (specific knowledge of Bugzilla, Testlink, and OTRS)
-Strong attention to detail
-Must be thorough, and timely in your testing
-Must be a motivated, self starter

Nice to have, but not required:
-College Degree
-Customer support experience
-Experience with BREW
-Knowledge of carrier requirements

This is a temporary position (40 hours per week).
