About the job
We have a job opening in part-time piano and guitar teaching positions. We are seeking experienced, passionate and reliable instructors to teach group classes with students from four to seventeen years of age. Class size is 3-6 students with 6 being maximum capacity. Candidates need to live within a reasonable distance from our academy.
Qualified instructors should meet the following requirements:
• Holds a degree in the instrument you're teaching and/or music education or be currently enrolled as a college student working on obtaining your music degree
• Must have experience teaching group lessons
• Is passionate about working with young children
• Must be able to develop lesson plans customized to fulfill the needs of the whole class as well as individual students AND be flexible to fulfill the curriculum goals set by the director
• Must meet musical requirements and goals set forth by the music director and conform to a specific classroom format implemented at the music academy
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must possess outstanding musicianship and approach teaching with a fun and positive attitude
• Must be easily reachable and good at communicating with our staff, students and their families
Please note we are not looking for one teacher to fulfill both positions. Compensation is $30/hr. Please send resume if you're qualified and interested.
