This vacancy was posted on 12/09/09 We are a fast growing private music school located in Santa Clarita is looking for a part time receptionist to work at our front desk. The job would initially start at 2 days a week, but could increase to more hours as the school grows. Primarily, we are looking for someone to work 3pm-8pm on Thursdays, and 9:30am-2:30 or 3 pm on Saturdays. The weekday is flexible, but availability on Saturdays is a must. This is an ideal job for a college student or stay at home mom looking to pick up some extra money as it's a fairly flexible, low-stress environment.
Job duties include:
-Greeting people at our front desk as they come in for lessons (we deal primarily with young students between the ages of 4 and 18 and their parents so you would need to be comfortable around kids).
-Answering the phone (this would include scheduling appointments for our teachers, fielding questions from potential new clients and confirmation calls for new students on the schedule)
-Light typing
-Filing
-Light cleaning
Applicants needs to posess the following qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and fluent in the English language.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.)
- Demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities and a pleasant demeanor.
- Proactive and detail oriented individual.
- Schedule Flexibility - able to occasionally switch days or times if needed
- Reliable Transportation
- Must Be Able To Pass Background Check
