Part-time Music Teachers

We are currently seeking experienced teachers/professional musicians for in-school and after-school music education program.

Job Titles: Teachers of piano, vocal-choir, violin

Compensation: Depends on teaching project and assignment Structure: Teaching positions are all part-time, some taking place during school times (9am-3pm) and some positions are after-school (Weekdays 3-8pm and Saturdays 10am-6:30pm).

General Duties: Direct teaching of individual and team lessons, small & large group classes and/or teaching classes in elementary/middle schools in the Rainier Valley and surrounding area.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in music/art field or equivalent study with recognized artist/teacher 2 years experience preferably including children or teens 2 years performance experience in professional capacity Ability to work as an effective team member Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written Well-organized and detail oriented Proven ability to manage time during lessons, meet deadlines Proven ability to inspire and motivate children and youth

Special Skills: Ability to reach and teach students with special needs and/or behavioral challenges.
