Under the direction of the Executive Director and the Manager of Artistic Operations, the Orchestra Assistant supports faculty and student musicians at all ECYS rehearsals, progress checks, and concerts, is stage manager for those orchestras and ensembles, duplicates all music for the orchestras’ musicians and maintains the ECYS music library. This individual works closely with the Manager of Artistic Operations and all faculty.

Qualifications:

• A willingness to work in a team environment characterized by open communications, to pitch-in whenever necessary

• Enthusiastic and energetic

• Enjoy working with people of all ages, particularly teenagers

• Calm with sound judgement

• Well-organized, prompt, ability to meet deadlines

• Good verbal communication skills

• Accurate filing and duplication

• Background in music

• Strong physically, able to move equipment and drive a large van (risers, podiums, timpani, etc.)

• A minimum of 1 year production experience preferred

• Available evenings and weekends
