On-air Personality/Music Director

We are seeking an On-air Personality/Music Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-On-air announcing of programs, music, commercials, news, public service information and other material.
-Reads or ad-libs to identify station, introduce and close shows, and announce station breaks.
-Use of creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting of on-air material.
-Operate on-air control console during satellite-fed syndicated programming.
-Attend live, in-person appearances as scheduled by the station.
-Ensure logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station’s operations are aired.
-Follow and enforce FCC regulations and station and company policies.
-Work with the Program Director on delivery and content of music.
-Review and add new music each week
-Attend station promotions when scheduled.
-Assign duties, supervise and coach on-air talent.
-Keep personal FCC broadcast license up-to-date.
-Assist the Promotions Manager in obtaining product giveaways from the record labels and insure appropriate contacts are handled properly.
-Production dubs when assigned.
-Control and organize music library and inventory under the direction of the operations Manager.
-Creatively generate ideas and provide recommendations to the station’s Program Director for music features to be broadcast on the station.
-Handle day-to-day scheduling of all music aired on the station in coordination with the Manager/Program Director.
-Responsible for the daily development and generation of the station’s music log.
-Serve as the station’s liaison between record companies and the station.

Education Requirements:
-High School diploma; College preferred.
-Knowledge of music scheduling software.
-Three years experience in broadcast radio.
-One to two years on-air personality experience.
-Knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations.
-Good computer skills.
