We are seeking a Manager, Music Synchronization.
Job Summary:
-Negotiates contracts and licenses our company's music for synchronization purposes across all media, with focus on advertising usage.
-Pitches, quotes, negotiates, drafts and processes licenses and invoices.
-Creates and develops relationships with Advertising Agencies, independent music consultants, searching companies and post-production houses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Synchronization Sales
- Create, develop and nurture relationships with advertising agencies, independent music consultants, search companies, post-production houses and sell our catalogues (classical, theatrical, standards and jazz, contemporary pop, rock) to them.
- Create opportunities to extend client database through extensive networking.
- Provide clients with a complete music consultancy service to include copyright advice, music expertise and inspiration, clearance and fee information.
- Translate our catalogues into a media friendly language
- Take music briefs and pitch our catalogues for all media types, with focus on the advertising market.
2. Secondary Exploitation
- Create and develop relationships with record labels, remixers and re-arrangers.
- Pitch and supervise placement of repertoire for cover albums, primarily in the classical crossover field.
- Create opportunities for the catalogues to be remixed.
3. Catalogue Knowledge
- In addition to working across all of our catalogues, the candidate will have a deep knowledge of classical music and will act as the departmental liaison to our classical music division.
Qualifications:
• Background in Sales; and/or Music Supervision for Advertising and Films and/or the Record or Music Publishing Industry
• Deep contacts and relationships with ad agencies and 3rd party music supervisors
• Driven by targets and thrive under pressure
• Opportunistic, proactive and innovative
• Creative and inspired in perception and thinking about music and ability to convey to non-experts
• Passionate and energetic
• Team player and self starter
