About the job
We are seeking a Music Partnerships Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
MUSIC/DIGITAL MEDIA
• MUST have a rich knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms to track, cross-reference and filter information from various online sources such as YouTube, Soundscan, Next Big Sound, social media aggregators, music blogs, social networks, digital music data, user-generated content, etc.
• Identify trends and potential signings based on research conducted
• Create an alert system and/or spreadsheet to identify and track metrics and movement on all A&R research artists
• Provide daily and weekly reporting of outstanding artists, relevant activities and key performance indicators
• Attend live shows at clubs, showcases, concerts, and other venues
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry insiders (managers, agents, attorneys, concert promoters, radio promo reps, retail contacts, trade and consumer press, etc.)
ACQUISITIONS
• Sell exclusive network services to artists and potential clients
• Prepare presentations and proposals
• Follow up on new leads and referrals
• Close deals with top tier and large network partnerships
• Initiate introduction and negotiations vetted through
LEGAL
• Publishing, licensing, DRM and contract knowledge a plus
• Work closely with legal team
• Reports to Head of Music, works closely with the Network Support Manager and Legal
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ideal candidate will have a rich background in New Media within the context of the Music and Entertainment industry.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be capable of managing many deals simultaneously
