Applications and nominations are being invited for a qualified candidate for an administrative staff position as Music Coordinator. This position is designed to promote an appreciation of Music theory and performance and will include 6 - 9 credit hours of in-classroom instruction along with administrative responsibilities including directing several choral ensembles and coordinating the Fine Arts publications and semester calendar. The music coordinator will also be responsible for the outside of the classroom experience choral performances, on and off campus, as well as working in collaboration with the band director to implement a Fall and Spring Music Showcase as well as the annual Music Camp. A willingness to work collaboratively within the School of Arts and Science and with the Division of Student Affairs is essential.
Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in Music or Music Education, classroom teaching experience and directing experience.
Screening of applicants will commence immediately and on-campus interviews are anticipated to conclude by July 1, 2009. Appointment is expected to begin August 2009.
