Position requires strategic thinking, excellent verbal & written communications skills. Candidate should be knowledgeable about B2B/B2C aspects of publicity - both conventional & new media- blogs, viral videos, social bookmarking & other cutting-edge opps that we haven’t heard of yet!
Responsibilities:
*All facets of marketing and promotion including: writing website content/news, press releases, designing effective, targeted ads & writing copy for those ads
*Effective follow-up with media & partners
*Help create & execute online and print marketing campaigns, manage ad calendar, research effective ad placement, write/post news on company & related music sites, interview musicians & industry for print & video news content
*Oversee graphic design projects
Ideal Candidates:
* A responsible, self-starter who can meet deadlines, doesn’t take no for an answer, thinks on their feet & out-of-the box
* Able to write ad copy, branding messages, press releases, website content/news
* Excellent strategic thinking, verbal & written communications skills
* Proficient in administering social media sites on YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Digg and Twitter
*Passion for promoting new music a must!
*Basic graphic design knowledge ( including Adobe PhotoShop, Acrobat, Illustrator and/or In Design; familiarity with HTML and web-based infrastructure) is a huge plus |
