We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing department in downtown San Diego. Position Overview The Marketing Coordinator will work directly with the Director of Marketing to manage and optimize online and offline marketing channels to increase customer acquisition and maximize prospect conversions to achieve company goals. Roles and Responsibilities Daily management of current online marketing channels including SEM, Social Media, Local Search placements, and more Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly data reports Coordination of Marketing Department daily duties (vendor communication, scheduling, research, etc.) Assistance with PR Efforts and other various marketing events/promotions Proofreading and editing assistance on all written and printed projects Skills / Requirements Basic knowledge of online and offline marketing channels such as paid and organic SEM, local search engines, email marketing, PR tactics, and more. Familiarity and experience with using social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. Strong writing and communication skills Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with superior organization skills Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, etc. Ability to multi-task and meet specific deadlines while reacting quickly to changes in the demands of the business Must posses a strong work ethic and the ability to reach beyond expectations in a fast- paced startup environment Must be a team player who is ready to work hard and play hard! It is also an advantage if you have experience with the following programs: Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google Local, Yahoo Search Marketing, Bing Search Marketing, and Craigslist postings. Education and/or Experience A bachelor's degree in marketing and/or communications or 1-2 years of online marketing experience is preferred. This is an hourly position not to exceed 40 hours a week with a starting salary of $12.50 per hour. No relocation benefits are available; local (San Diego) candidates preferred.
