We are hiring a part-time Event Marketing Coordinator to assist our growing Event Marketing Department. We are highly active in the East Bay arts and entertainment community, which includes sponsoring events, producing our own events, and doing event production work for other producers. Our events cover a broad range of local arts, from music and dance to film and art. We also do small business events and seminars. Some responsibilities include:
- Working the Express booth at events, hanging signage, running contests and collecting email addresses.
- Event set-up and break-down for East Bay Express produced events.
- Conceptualizing and distributing fliers and posters for East Bay Express events.
- Act as a liaison between the company and the management staff of our live music venue, Club X, for nights when we are producing shows (ranges from music to theatre to film screenings).
- Organize and oversee our inventory of marketing goods (banners, table linens, party supplies, etc.).
- Maintain our Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter accounts.
- Update our print and online advertising for the marketing department's events.
- Maintain an accurate and updated annual event calendar.
- Interact with vendors for our events including event preparation, event production, and post-event feedback.
- Maintain a thorough and accurate database of vendors, performers and event production partners for the company.
- Help organize and manage company gear that is sold or distributed to the public and/or clients.
- Data entry of emails collected at events.
- Ensuring event vendors and sponsors have their needs completely fulfilled per our contractual obligations with them.
Technical Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and general office equipment.
Other Requirements:
Must be 21+ (due to many events taking place in bars or include pouring alcohol at fundraisers), have a flexible schedule to work late nights and/or weekends, and have a van/truck or large capacity reliable vehicle.
Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a passion for the East Bay arts and entertainment scene, exhibits outstanding customer service skills, and is extremely outgoing - this candidate will often be the public "face" of the company.
Frequent heavy lifting is required with this job (examples include: lifting kegs, carrying tables/boxes, carrying bundles of papers, moving stage equipment, etc.).
