Male Vocalist

About the job

We have a very special project - which formed organically with talented pro musicians and a gospel trio. Nearly two years into it, we keep growing and refining our sound. We've got a good deal of soul and passion - and need a solid male vocalist to help take center stage with both lead and harmony. We do a mix of R&B, Motown, Blues, Funk, and Rock.

Someone who is engaging and interactive with the audience and comfortable doing both lead and harmony roles - would be a solid match with our three dynamic female singers (two who also are strong leads) and solid musicians. The band includes keys (recently signed with ProgRock Records), bass, full time pro drummer, guitar, and trumpet. Most of us support ourselves with day jobs.

There are paid gigs on the books for August, September, and October (winery, fundraisers, staff event, Solano Stroll, Hotel in Berkeley) and we are negotiating with some other events/venues/weddings/wineries. Practices are in Walnut Creek at a private studio once a week (plus the singers have had a 2nd practice most weeks to work out their beautiful harmonies).
