As we continue to strengthen our ties to the music community and introduce new products to its tens of millions of users, licensing deals will continue to evolve and pave the way for new business models.
The Licensing Associate will focus on growing our licensed inventory, currently over 2 million tracks available for sale in our online store.

Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and close licensing agreements with music distributors, labels, publishers, and select performing artists
Represent our interests from informal meetings through deal signing
Regular communication with potential partners Effectively work with product managers, in-house counsel, outside partners, and senior management to coordinate our licensing function

Requirements:
BA/BS degree
5 + years experience in music or related licensing Current connections with both major-label and independent music decision-makers
Working knowledge of cutting-edge licensing arrangements (material terms and conditions, not wording)
Interpersonal aptitude to forge positive relationships with prospective partners
Publishing deal experience related to streaming or other licenses beyond mechanicals is a plus
