About the job
We produce the Downtown Live concert series in Raleigh. We also promote shows and produce events all over NC.
We manage bands and have been responsible for getting dozens of bands signed to record deals of all sizes. We also put out records and sign bands ourselves to our own label and publishing company.
We have an office in Raleigh and a full time staff of 10 people. We will be interviewing potential interns starting April 1st for the Summer 2010 Semester.
We started an intern program in 2001. We have 5 interns each school semester that intern at our offices in Downtown Raleigh. It's a great way to learn the "real" music business. The music business you can't learn in a book! Many musicians have interned at our company over the years and gained vast knowledge to help promote and market their own bands! In fact half of our Full Time employees are actually in bands!
Former interns at our company have gone on to full time jobs at local radio stations, TV stations, Sony Music in New York, Warner Brothers in LA, AOL Music, and many other companies!
You don't necessarily need to be in school to be an intern, but interns can, and have received school credit in the past!
