About the job

Our Global Marketing team is setting up a Global Insight Lab. The main goal of the Lab will be to provide consumer and market insight which guides the way that we plans and executes our global campaigns, making them more targeted, creative and effective.

The Insight Manager, Catalog Projects, will focus on the catalog artists within our Commercial Music Group (CMG). The person in this role will have two main priorities – helping CMG to take a more consumer-focused approach to new product development and helping CMG become even more creative and targeted in the way that it markets its catalog.

Responsibilities:

-Fostering great working relationships with the US CMG team and with CMG teams from around the world

-Helping to introduce a consumer-driven approach to new product development within the CMG teams, under the guidance of the VP Insight

-Designing, managing, analyzing and reporting on international and domestic US online surveys to identify the core target audiences and optimal positioning for CMG priority catalogue projects

-Drawing together the insights from segmentation and artist studies to make recommendations for global campaign strategy; with a particular focus on helping to drive better marketing ROI through a more targeted and innovative use of media spend.

-Working closely with the Planning teams to ensure that artist insight informs marketing plans, creative briefs (etc) and gets translated into effective campaign decisions

-Where required, managing relationships with external insight suppliers to make sure they deliver effectively; creating positive working relationships with the ones that deliver well

-Presenting artist insight findings in an accessible and engaging way to our staff.

-Traveling to local territories, fostering good relations with local Insight teams and CMG teams, and moderating new product idea generation workshops

-Together with the VP Insight and Insight Coordinator, manage the CMG-relevant areas of the Global Insight Hub

-Work with the VP Insight to design and deliver occasional ad hoc insight projects that fall outside of artist studies and segmentation

-Mentoring the Insight Coordinator and helping this person develop into a fully-fledged insight professional
