This vacancy was posted on 08/20/09 An independent record label and music production house is seeking an intern for the FALL semester. The internship will run from September 7th December 4th. Our main office and studios in Miami, FL with branches in LA and NYC.
The NYC branch is located in Greenpoint Brooklyn, just above McCarren Park (easily accessible by the G or L train). The internship will be extremely hands-on, reporting directly to the label manager as well as working closely with the artists.
Duties include, but are not limited to: online promotion, marketing research, tour promotion/advancing, marketing concepts and radio promotion.
Responsibilities Include: - Organization and management of promotional materials - Maintenance of social networking pages - General marketing outreach - Database management - Street team initiatives Applicant Requirements: - MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN ACCREDITED NYC UNIVERSITY - Must be available for at least 2 full days a week - Must be at least a junior in college - Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Photoshop and Entourage a huge plus) - Strong knowledge of social networking websites Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, etc. - MUST MUST MUST love music and have a strong interest in the music industry
