This vacancy was posted on 11/17/09 We are a software company startup in Los Angeles, CA. We’ve developed the proof-of-concept of a game-like music instruction software title, using our patent-pending proprietary technology. We seek to develop this into a commercial product release in 2010.
Duties:
• Work closely with the co-founders of the company to drive the implementation of a commercial-ready software product
• Lead the development of a go-to-market product using the Unity3D game development environment, the FMOD Ex audio library, and several proprietary C++ modules, using a combination of the existing proof-of-concept demo and feature specifications as the requirements guide
• Implement seamless Mac OS X and Windows stand-alone application deployment
• Implement digital delivery and software registration e-commerce compatibility
• Bring unique and fresh ideas to the overall product development strategy – you will play a central role in shaping the go-to-market product
Qualifications:
• This is a hands-on role at the grass-roots level of a unique opportunity
• You must love to roll-up your sleeves and get dirty with Unity3D, textures, meshes, lighting, camera angles, culling, C++, C#, Javascript, .NET framework, Python, Photoshop, Blender3D, audio files, Audacity, .xml, etc.
• You must value being a vital team member in a small, tight, team of incredibly high-energy, collaborative, and passionate professionals
• You must believe the sum is greater than the parts
• Mastery of Unity3D is a must: scripting, textures, animation, GUI styles, user session management, high scores, and profiles, etc.
• Must love music. Music performance, composition, or instruction is a huge plus
• Must be able to adhere to aggressive and strict deadlines
• Art experience, GUI design and project management are huge pluses
• Extreme Programming (XP) experience is a plus
• Experience in developing software products released exclusively via digital distribution is a plus
