We are seeking a Financial Analyst.

This position is responsible for performing financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis functions integral to supporting business operations.

Primary areas of responsibility include the following:
-Preparation of Daily Sales and periodic
Sales Priorities reports highlighting actual sales performance versus forecast/business plan.
-Preparation of Weekly Priority Recap report comprising worldwide shipment and sales data for all priority releases.
-Preparation of monthly Release P&L’s for all current priority releases, ensuring accuracy of SAP BW P&L data and project/sub-project classifications.
-Responsible for maintenance of the Microsoft Access Sales Forecast database, including data entry for monthly domestic physical album sales forecast, actualization of monthly sales and ensuring accuracy of pricing/configuration mix assumptions and release date information.
-Develop and maintain queries to retrieve financial data from proprietary label financial systems (MS Access, SAP, PRS, MPS, SAP BW, SAMIS, etc.).
-Generate Flash P&L reports
-Assist with preparation of the annual business plan and monthly label P&L forecast, including development of royalty, joint venture partner share and manufacturing cost of sales estimates, maintenance of related Excel financial models, and updating of monthly actuals.
-Assist with preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast of Intercompany Repertoire License (“IRL”) income, ensuring accuracy of accrual rates at the selection level and reconciliation/analysis of actual income received.
-Review and analysis of monthly financial results including, but not limited to: researching SAP general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, analyzing account balances and transaction detail, balance sheet analysis, corporate reporting, etc.
-Assist with preparation and compilation of various monthly financial schedules (P&L, sales, marketing, talent, overhead) for inclusion in monthly financial reporting package for senior executive label personnel.
-Preparation of financial schedules in connection with routine senior management business review meetings.
-Ad hoc special projects and analyses for label and corporate senior management.

Desired Skills & Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance or Accounting.
-Working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting preferred.
-Ideal candidate may be a CPA or working towards certification, or interested in pursuing an MBA in the future.
-Generally, a minimum 1-2 years of business experience in accounting or financial analysis role.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced experience with Excel in particular (e.g., knowledge of pivot tables, lookup formulas, etc).
-Experience with SAP business software and/or Hyperion Enterprise preferred.
-Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
-Well organized, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks.
-Candidate must be comfortable working with large amounts of financial and numerical detail.
-Must demonstrate strong initiative.
-Must possess ability to proactively and productively work in team settings, including being receptive, open minded and objective when encountering diverse points of view.
-Must set high standards of performance for oneself, strive for distinction in all tasks and exhibit sense of pride in work product.
-Strong interest in the music industry and desire to learn about the business is a very strong plus.
