Job Title: Intern
Number of Positions: 5
Work Schedule: Flexible; Minimum 2-3 hours/day
Wage/Salary: Unpaid, with potential for growth
Job Description:
As an intern of our Short Film, Music, and Art Festival, you have the unique opportunity to help launch a new and innovative festival, which debuts March 7, 2010, in downtown Chinatown, LA. By working with our team, you will gain invaluable experience in the following fields: entrepreneurial, administrative, marketing, public relations, and entertainment.
As part of our marketing strategy, we will be touring colleges throughout southern California. At each campus we plan to throw mini-concerts, featuring a number of our contracted performers, in order to promote the festival premiere in March. You will be required to attend this tour and to help organize and promote these events.
We will also be hosting a fundraiser in February, which will include live performances and a screening of one out-of-competition short film. You will be required to help with this event as well.
Essentially, we will be doing a lot of work in the next two months. Please do not apply unless you are willing and able to contribute the time, effort, and enthusiasm necessary to get through this crunch time with us.
To know more about us in general, please visit our website.
For specific questions regarding the festival or the fundraising event, please email us.
Qualifications: We are looking for highly motivated interns that want to be a part of a new and innovative festival. You must be hard working, organized, punctual, professional, and confident. You must be a quick learner, with strong initiative and the capacity to work within a team. Most importantly, you have to be positive. We are not as concerned about your resume or your work experience as much as we are concerned with finding interns who possess the previously mentioned quailities and are a good fit for the team. We believe strongly believe in inspiration and enrichment--in the arts and in our own lives. We invite you to join us in the process of putting together something great.
Application Instructions: Please send a cover letter and a resume (pasted in the body of the email) to us for review. Include your contact information.
