We seek a dynamic and effective Executive Director with proven leadership and fund-raising skills.

Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the new Music Director and Conductor the Executive Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and overseeing the administration, marketing, public relations and operational components of orchestra and organization.

The Executive Director implements the multi-year business plan and directs and supervises other staff.
The Executive Director is responsible and accountable for aggressively searching out and implementing new opportunities for fund development and for generating new marketing, advertising and promotional programs to ensure long-term stability.

The Executive Director will also maintain an effective liaison with key members of the business community, the general public, various levels of government, volunteers and other stakeholders in the future of organization. The Executive Director is responsible for motivating and communicating effectively with the board, staff, musicians and volunteers.

Qualifications: Master in Arts Administration or equivalent education and experience. Candidates must be experienced not-for-profit executive administrators with proven success in fund-raising, marketing, financial management, grant writing, and governmentand community relations with demonstrated team-building and institutional planning experience. The ideal candidate would also be a creative and innovative professional who works to maintain a record of achievement, progressive managerial skills and proven leadership skills. Must have the ability to utilize common, computer-based document, spreadsheet and database applications.
