Successful, rapidly growing event and experiential marketing agency is seeking a strong Events Manager (EM) responsible for translating client objectives into high impact events resulting in client satisfaction, retention and expansion of business opportunities. This position will work closely with the HQ account and event teams to support clients and assigned Client Services contacts in support of all events. The following outlines the key areas of responsibilities included, but not limited to, the role of Event Manager:

Core Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain regular and effective communications with Events, Media, Client Services, Creative, Database and other departments to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information and identify opportunities to improve processes
• Facilitate the creative development of events with events team members, while maintaining client objectives and budget efficiencies
• Technical production including staging, lighting, AV, etc.
• Manage artist contracting and talent buying process
• Develop and maintain relationships with venues to ensure successful negotiation and event execution
• Lead strategic and new business development and brand concepting initiatives in conjunction with account/event team
• Develop and manage budgets and event component materials for client programs
• Utilize internal and external resources to provide on-target solutions
• Source vendors and event opportunities for event dynamic with current or new clients
• Maintain extensive knowledge of music industry; develop and maintain music industry connections
• Determine relevant technical and production elements for events
• Program, plan and implement production budgets and calendars
• Identify marketing opportunities to maximize client exposure
• Assist in the programming, planning and implementation of the events calendar
• Maintain database of vendors and manage vendor performance at events
• Execute events including managing on-site event activities and ensuring flawless execution utilizing creative problem solving
• Provide comprehensive post-event and other reporting
• Manage staff while at an event and communicate staff performance to appropriate management
• Provide support as needed to other departments
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Position Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience in event production, including promotion, coordination and booking or minimum of 3-4 years’ related experience
• Previous experience working with music and nightclub industries, live performance event management and/or event marketing; in-depth knowledge of and connections within live music scene
• Strong proficiency in lighting, sound and video
• National vendor resources and technical experience
• Previous liquor/nightlife industry experience
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be willing to travel; at times extensively

• Must be reliable and possess an excellent work ethic
• Client service oriented
• Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Word, etc., internet research and some knowledge of PowerPoint
• High School diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelors Degree in marketing, communication or event management preferred
