We seek an outgoing self-starter to fill its Event and Promotions Coordinator position (EPC). The EPC is responsible for the co-production and management of our year round calendar of promotions and special events, including the Downtown Farmers Market, Downtown Ice and equipment rental program. The EPC also works with ourevent production team in the promotion and production of initiatives such as Dine Downtown, Music in the Park, Outdoor Cinemas, Third Space Entertainment and district-specific events. What You'll Do: Event and Promotions Coordinator duties include but are not limited to: Oversee and manage construction and tear down of Downtown Ice. Provide on-site logistical and operations management for the Downtown Farmers Market and our equipment rental program. Generate and manage event budgets ranging from $10K - $1M Recruit and manage production-related vendors and subcontractors. Secure production-related trade agreements. Manage event intern(s). Provide updates to all our departments regarding special promotions and events. Coordinate our outreach efforts at other community events.

Required Skills and Experience: Successful candidates must work well in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, be Internet savvy, have excellent communication skills and exhibit the ability to work independently. Minimum three years experience in overall event promotions and production. Ability to think independently and act proactively. Coordination and management of event subcontractors and volunteers. Ability to effectively communicate with and manage event vendors. Experience negotiating trade agreements. Demonstrated ability to be promotions-minded and solutions oriented. Project budget management experience. MAC proficient including Microsoft applications Word, Excel, Power Point. Knowledge of Adobe applications a plus. BA degree or equivalent preferred.

Hours, Salary & Benefits: The EPC position is a full-time salaried, exempt position. Potential candidates must be available to work outside of traditional business hours as many events occur in the evening and on weekends. Compensation: Salary range is $40K- 45K, dependent upon experience. Health, Vision and Dental benefits are included as well as parking.
