This vacancy was posted on 11/06/09 We are in the process of recruiting to fill an enrichment teacher position. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the development of our Enrichment classes such as music and library. The specific job duties of the position are:
• Teach music to all classes once or twice each week.
• Facilitate library check out procedure once each week.
• Host creative and engaging story time with students weekly.
• Assist in the development and design of our multi-purpose room.
• Create a 3rd optional enrichment course to offer CDC students. (Such as: Spanish, dance, karate, et cetera)
• Support current enrichment teacher in day-to-day duties.
An eligible candidate for this position will:
• Be able to work Tuesday – Friday between 8:55am and 1:05pm
• Possess a creative, engaging and enthusiastic demeanor
• Be comfortable in a very high-energy environment
• Possess experience working with small children: ages 2 – 6yrs old
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working in a christian education environment.
• Possess experience in an educational setting.
• Have knowledge or experience with music and musical instruments.
• Have experience working in music or dance in an educational setting.
A Bachelors or Associates degree in education, dance, music, or other creative expression is a plus, but not required. This position is part of our Child Development Center which incorporates Bible teaching into its curriculum. The candidate must be in agreement with the FBC Statement of Faith.
