Job Description
As part of its continued growth, we are looking for an eMail Marketing Manager. The eMail team is part of a shared services marketing organization, and as a result, the role requires a highly responsible individual, who is strong at both project management and client management, to act as an effective conduit between our brand, creative, technical and analytics teams.
The manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of campaign planning and email strategy across eight brands using Unica’s recently launched IMOD application. This role will have both hands-on and management aspects, with frequent presentations to senior management, while responsible for 2-3 eMail Marketing Specialists.
We are looking for someone with strong consultative skills, who can work closely with brand team and merchant teams develop an effective, efficient email campaign strategy to increase sales conversion, increase customer engagement and provide multi-channel reinforcement. In coordination with catalog circulation, this role will be responsible for evaluating and improving email marketing activities through segmentation, testing, targeting, and contact optimization with the goal of improving marketing effectiveness through increasing customer value.
We are looking for a smart, driven, highly analytical, self starter who has strong email marketing experience.
Responsibilities:
· Manages 2-3 Email Marketing Specialists with responsibility across brands.
· Responsible for campaign planning and management across brand teams.
· Provide leadership, strategy and vision for the email channel.
· Develop email which includes segmentation, cadence, sequencing and dynamic content targeting.
· Present annual, quarterly and monthly email plan to the brand teams.
· Lead efforts to maximize email file growth and quality, monitoring deliverability and opt-outs.
· Maintain best practices for email hygiene, privacy, and opt-in standards.
· Work with brand managers and merchandising to leverage promotional calendar, events, and creative content.
· Develop testing strategies for template formats, subject lines and content presentation.
· Tests personalized elements to prioritize available content appropriately.
· Responsible for forecasting and expense tracking.
· Perform ad hoc analyses at the request of the brand teams, in partnership with Business Intelligence.
· Ensure promotional messaging and creative consistency across advertising programs where appropriate.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
· Extensive online marketing experience, especially managing ROI-positive email programs of significant value in a highly competitive market.
· Experience with dynamic content and personalization in an email environment.
· Solid background in campaign optimization, performance management, and testing are essential.
· 5+ years experience in consumer internet and e-commerce.
· 2-3 years in a marketing leadership role.
· Excellent verbal, written, presentation and analytical skills.
· Innovated, curious and with strong problem solving skills.
· Results driven.
· Hands-on experience with customer segmentation strategies in a direct marketing environment.
· Specific knowledge if email metrics and analysis.
· Up to date knowledge of email best practices and legislation.
· Strong organizational and management skills.
· Interest in music and experience working in music industry a plus.
