The Director of Music is a half time position with responsibility for worship planning, conducting the adult choir, handbell choir, children's music ministry and supervising professional and volunteer musicians. A bachelor's in music or related degree is required, experience with church music, both contemporary and traditional worship styles is essential. The director will be part of a dynamic and collegial ministry team in a bi-denominational church on the west side of Cincinnati. Opportunities for creative expression and innovative worship abound! The ability to work with all age groups and a comfort level with a variety of music and worship styles is vital to success in this position.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in music or music education
Experience in church music both contemporary and traditional
Experience working with both children and adults, instrumental as well as vocal
team player, collegial in style
Able to do worship planning
