Responsibilities:
Program, coordinate, and attend weekly, seasonal, and monthly performances related to current concert series
Facilitate payment between client and musicians for concert series programming
Generate contracts with outside venues
Receive concert program information from ensemble and ensure timely submission to our Concert Office and Communications department and concert presenter
Attend concert series performances to introduce artists, and assist with any technical needs
Respond to ensemble requests through

Hire performers for special and private events
Program selected soloists and ensembles
Correspond with students, alumni, clients, and numerous other parties in fulfilling the performance requests
Assist in the student application, orientation, and training process for Hire performers service

Train Hire performer roster members on performance protocol including contract preparation, performance etiquette, and program guidelines
Manage Private Teacher Directory and coordinate annual application process
Manage all requests for credential files, and encourage new students and alumni to open a credential file

Attend student performances at and other venues when necessary
Provide advisement to students and alumni on topics including auditioning, interviewing, career planning and strategies, and preparation of promotional materials including cover letters, promotional kits, bios, résumés, and repertoire lists

Support the Director of Career Services in departmental initiatives, projects, and ongoing Career Services activities
Assist in the programming, preparation, and presentation of workshops on various career topics for students and alumni
Contact and serve as a liaison with guest speakers for career seminars.

Assist with equipment needs and interaction with faculty about Lunch and Learn seminars
Assist in the management and tracking of payments for Career Services events and office needs
Contact vendors, communicate with organization representatives, and answer any questions related to the Career Fair
Assist in the creation and distribution of surveys to the student body and alumni

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Business, Music Education, or Fine Arts
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher
Extensive background in music programming and artist booking
Knowledge of jazz and classical instrumentation and appropriate ensemble configurations
Extensive knowledge and experience with careers in the performing arts
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized
Demonstrated interest in concert programming and artist development
Experience and ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledgeable of careers available to individuals with conservatory training and background
Background in career services, or higher education administration helpful
Master’s in higher education administration, student personnel administration or counseling a plus
