Their vision is to spread God’s kingdom through their teachings and products. As their ministry continues to rapidly expand, and demand for their product grows, they are seeking a highly proficient Director of Business Operations to oversee all facets and projects pertaining to the development of the business side of their organization.
The Director of Business Operations Job Description:
• Assist with development and management of business plans, forecasts, budgets and work flows.
• Direct supervision of the organizational staff of approximately eight employees.
• Oversee each component of business operations including merchandising, distribution, publishing, touring, public relations, recording and booking.
• Supervise development of artist promotional materials, including press kits, marketing materials, CD album design, book jacket designs and other.
• Work with artists in area of new product development, including new albums, books, teaching materials, and online resources.
• Oversee creative & innovative content development (new media, music, video, and/or TV).
• Increase online traffic and sales through internet marketing and online distribution channels.
• Understand intricacies of project details, identify resources needed and delegate responsibilities to project team individuals.
• Articulate the vision of the artists throughout all aspects of their career and ensure the business is accurate to their vision.
• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively and hold regular status meetings with project team.
Experience Requirements
• Experience at the senior management level of a medium-sized organization preferred.
• Strong music and media industry relationships with an in-depth understanding of industry-wide practices.
• Experience, relationships and contacts in the area of promoting, marketing and distributing of artists merchandise.
• A working understanding of the music industry, publishing industry and/or similarly-related industry.
• Proven abilities with managing publicity, public relations, and copywriters.
• Strong understanding of the business aspects of ecommerce and internet marketing as well as business development.
• Understanding of publication processes and royalty payment structures.
• Strong problem solving, organization, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Established track record of successfully overseeing the development and implementation of new artist merchandise or similarly-related product materials.
• Experience overseeing graphics artists, web developers, and other media producers.
• Experience with running a record label, managing creative artists, or similar work that’s industry related.
• Has a deep spiritual connection with God and a desire to use abilities and gifts to help bring others closer to Christ.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of demonstrated leadership experience working in a similar role is required.
• Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
This position requires residence in or relocation to Redding, CA.
