Responsibilities:
* Generate and pitch ideas as a member of the creative team that develops strategic and tactical marketing campaigns for assigned record label artists. Draft marketing plans as consensus is developed among team members. Lead evaluation of effectiveness of marketing strategies and make recommendations of changes needed to respond to changing market conditions.
* Serve as project manager for releases, collaborating with promotion, media, digital marketing, creative, and sales staff. Develop and oversee timelines and lead planning meetings.
* Communicate label marketing plans and expectations to management and communicate management and artist expectations and goals to label staff.
* Develop label marketing efforts with third-party brand partners, Evaluate and select appropriate partners. Develop relationships with partners whose goals may align with strategic plan for individual artists.
* Communicate as needed with booking agents, Country Music Television (CMT), and Great American Country (GAC.).
* Create marketing budgets and provide budget oversight for all artist releases, meeting annual overhead and profitability targets.
* Interact with Business Affairs staff regarding legal issues
Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, brand management or related field with substantial exposure to a wide variety of disciplines, including brand strategy, marketing plan development, and online marketing
* Experience working in a collaborative environment
* Proven ability to translate strategy into tactics and ideas into action
* Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated presentation skills
* Strong prioritizing and organizational skills and the ability to carry detailed projects through to completion
* Willing to work frequent nights and weekends and available for frequent travel
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Knowledge of effective marketing and advertising principles
