Responsibilities:
The Data Warehouse Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day support and maintenance of finance applications, databases and reports for the Finance team. This position reports into finance management. Key assignments and responsibilities include:
- Maintain existing reporting databases in SQL Server 2000 for revenue, royalties and business metric reporting.
- Handle all requests from music labels and publishers for updates or changes to their royalty reporting formats.
- Provide support for our ERP, HR and payroll applications.
- Interact with 3rd party software vendors for product upgrades, general support, patches and customizations.
- Research and investigate data discrepancies and provide data validation reports and understand system processes.
- Perform SOX compliance documentation and tasks.
Technical
Must have:
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouse and OLAP concepts
- Extensive experience with SQL Server 2000 (TSQl and DTS programming, 2000 Analysis services)
- XML programming
Preferable but not required:
- MAS 500 or Great Plains experience
- .Net development (ASP.net, VB.net)
- Exposure to business intelligence tools like Business Objects
Qualifications
Must have:
- Solid experience using MS Office with an expert level in Excel
- Excellent customer relations skill set
- Proactive personality with the ability to anticipate potential problems
- Ability to interact with numerous users groups and team members and maintain a high level of composure during potentially stressful situations.
Preferable but not required:
- A solid understanding of Accounting, Finance and data warehouse systems
- Minimum of 2 years experience providing support in an IT environment, preferably with a finance team
- Bachelor degree in accounting, Finance or MIS
