About the job
We are a Seattle-based chamber orchestra, and are currently seeking a Conductor/Music Director. The orchestra will select finalists to conduct the rehearsals and concerts for each performance set during the 2010-2011 season.
The orchestra's regular concert season consists of 5 or 6 concerts per year. Concerts are typically on Sunday afternoons, with rehearsals on Tuesday nights and dress rehearsals on Saturday mornings.
Highly qualified applicants should submit the following materials via email by August 15 to the Conductor Search Committee:
- Letter of interest
- Essay questions (please see our website for details)
- Professional and educational resume
- Highlights of repertoire conducted, including orchestra conducted for each work
- YouTube link showing applicant conducting, if available
- Further application materials may be requested by the search committee.
Finalists will be contacted for an interview after August 15.
