Classical Music Data Entry (Part Time)

We are seeking qualified individuals to join our next Concert Listings Data Entry project, scheduled to begin in March 2010. Ideal Qualifications: (listed in order of importance) Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, copy/paste). Strong attention to detail (spelling, punctuation, proof reading). Willingness to adopt and internalize our established data entry syntax. Basic knowledge of classical music composers and their major works. Some familiarity with one of these languages: German, Italian, French, or Latin. Position Description: We are capturing large amounts of classical music Concert Listings and transcribing these to the database. You should be knowledgeable of/or willing to familiarize yourself with the types of musical work titles, names of composers, performers, and ensembles you see in these Concert Listings. We provide complete orientation and training on the data entry format and procedures. Applicants must be detail oriented, punctual, comfortable working in a group environment, yet also comfortable working independently once your have completed our training. Work Hours and Project Duration: Mondays to Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some Friday shifts may also be scheduled. Employment is part-time, for a temporary time period, on a per project basis. Projects may last anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks.
