This vacancy was posted on 08/17/09 Looking for Musician Vocalists to be section leads in our choir; one tenor voice and one alto voice.
Qualifications: Ability to read sheet music relatively well n Ability also to learn music by ear. n Ability to various styles and genres of music including but not limited to; traditional/ Classical type music, sing music in foreign language (various cultures), Contemporary Christian, Spirituals, and Gospel music. We cover it all from Bach to Kirk Franklin.
Possess a great solo voice as well as a strong blending group voice.
Possess a positive and friendly spirit Duties/ Expectations:
Be present at all rehearsals. Rehearsals are Thursday nights from 7:00pm until 8:30 pm
Be present at all church services to perform with the choir, as a soloist or with a special music group. Sunday service begins at 10:00am, but the music call time is generally 9:15 am.
Lead/Co-lead sectionals when needed
Perform Solos when needed
Assist Music Minister as needed
Ability to play piano/keyboard and/or guitar a plus, but not necessary ****This opportunity is best suited for a local music student and/or musicians looking to make a little extra money. |
