Church Accompanist

A congregation with 200 members seeks a part-time church accompanist to join its leading team of musicians. The responsibility of the Accompanist is to facilitate worship through music by accompanying the 9 o’clock worship service, ensembles and soloists, providing solo music and leading the congregational singing. The church has a Yamaha G2 grand piano.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Accompany the 9 o’clock vocal ensemble and soloists, weekly rehearsals, and in our 9 o’clock worship service
- Provide solo music for weekly worship services.
- Lead congregational singing by accompanying hymns and songs of praise.

Desired Skill Set:
- Ability to accompany individuals and groups and provide musical leadership.
- Commitment to the Christian faith.
- Ability to explore and incorporate musical diversity.

Hours & Wages:
- 2.5 hours per week on Sunday mornings. (1 Rehearsal + 1 Service)
- Competitive pay.
