About the job

OurBusiness Development team serves as our primary point of contact for incoming business development inquiries, including but not limited to artist, publishing, and distribution deals, label and catalog acquisitions, joint ventures and prospective partnerships. Some of the group's main responsibilities include:
- Evaluating transactional opportunities by helping to identify potential acquisition candidates and managing the overall M&A process
- Maintaining regular contact with senior executives at each of our business units regarding current deal status and upcoming prospects
- Providing strategic and analytical support to the company and business unit executives
- Presenting at CEO's weekly deal meeting to provide status reports on all deal-related activity and to seek deal approval, when necessary
- Negotiating contracts and deal points with 3rd parties in conjunction with our legal/other business units

In addition to providing administrative support to the Business Development department, the Coordinator plays an integral role in helping to both (i) track and manage the team's deal flow/process and (ii) assist in the initial prep of materials for the CEO's weekly deal meeting. Finance and/or media background preferred.

Responsibilities
- Broad general administration; Manage calendars, phones/call logs, expense reports, and travel for the team
- Track and manage the team's deal flow by creating and maintaining various reports for the Business Development department, Senior Management, and our Board of Directors
- Coordinate with senior executives at each of our business units on weekly deal flow/status
- Coordinate email approvals and other deal-related documentation (with Internal Audit, Finance, etc.)
- Conduct market research in support of strategic initiatives and deal negotiations
- Assist in initial prep and review of documentation for CEO's weekly deal meeting
- Coordinate intern hiring, scheduling, and projects

Skills Required
- Highly organized, with ability to multitask and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication/presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter and forward-thinker
- Analytical; ability to comprehend and create reports for executives
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Financial modeling skills preferred
Special Requirements/Preferences
- College degree required
- Finance and/or media background preferred
- Minimum 1 year general work experience
