The position requires accurate data entry, basic understanding of general accounting practices, and a good phone disposition. The Bookkeeper will primarily focus on managing Accounts Receivables. The Bookkeeper will work in a two person accounting team and report to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Entering bank AR deposits & other AR transactions
- Making AR past due balance phone calls
- Mailing customer invoices and statements
- Preparing AR calculations for bank
- Posting AR data in MAS500
- Entering new customers in MAS500
- Interfacing with sales about AR
- Communicating with collections agencies
- Filing claims with shipping companies
- Entering payroll
- General data entry and filing
- Human resource a plus
Job requirements:
- BA/BS in accounting or 2+ years of accounting experience
- Proficient with Excel or equivalent
- Excellent communication & phone skills
- Ability to coordinate with various departments
